(SKU: LSB100250A) In the north-eastern part of Sri Lanka, between Trincomalee and Batticaloa, archaeologists discovered this original bronze statue, which dates back to the eighth or tenth century A.C. It has a total height of 56.6 inches. The gesture of Vitarka Mudra is being made with her left hand, while the gesture of Vara Mudra is being made with her right hand. Ideal female beauty is characterised by a significant contrast between a thin waist and large breasts and hips. This form of the goddess symbolises chastity and purity, as well as love, compassion, and mercy. She conveys dignity and grace in her appearance. It's possible that valuable stones were set into the tiny holes that ringed the object. And the large hole in the headdress very certainly accommodated a miniature statue of the Buddha seated in meditation.
