Collection: Safari from Habarana

The Hurulu Eco Park is located at the edge of the beautiful Hurulu Forest Reserve which was designated as a biosphere reserve. The nearest city being Anuradhapura, the entrance to the park is located in the small town of Habarana. Covering a land area of about 2550 hectares, the forest reserve and the eco park is considered as an important habitat for the Sri Lankan elephant. Some of the endangered animals that might be residents at the Hurulu Eco Park consist of the Indian Star tortoise, the Sri Lankan leopard and the rusty spotted cat. With dry zone evergreen forests you can witness herds of elephants migrating from nearby forests in search of food and water.
